Pontyclun Santa Fun Run

Event Information/Instructions

1.  Start Time:

The fun run will start at 10:00 am prompt.

Registration starts at 9 am. We suggest you arrive no later than 9.30 am to collect your number/bib from the registration desk.

Registration will take place at Pontyclun Rugby Club, Llantrisant Road , CF72 9DQ.

2.  Car Park:

There is  parking available at the Rugby Club.
Parking is also available behind Tesco Express car park Heol Yr Orsaf, Pontyclun CF72 9FR.

3.  Clothing/Footwear:

Please bring clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather.

If there are unforeseen weather conditions we may have to postpone/cancel the event. You will be notified by email if this is the case. Please check your email (and junk folder just in case!) before you leave.  We will advise you of any postponement/cancellation by 8:15am on the day.  If you have no email by 8:15am, the event is proceeding.

4.  Water and Refreshments:

Water will be available at the finish line but we suggest you may like to bring your own water bottle for the run itself. A bacon/veg roll and hot drink are included in the entry fee for all runners.

5. The route:

Start line is at the bottom of the cycle path by the train station - a very short walk from the Rugby Club. Route map can be found on the following link

The full 5k route includes one extra mini loop of the second half of the cycle path. The 3k route includes just the one loop.

The route will be fully marked and marshalled.

6. Safety:

We do not have exclusive use of the route. Please give adequate space/be respectful to other path users.

Parts of the route require you to cross side roads and one Zebra crossing. Please take extra care at these points and follow any instructions given by the marshalls.

Children under 12 Must be accompained by an adult.

7.First Aiders from St John's Ambulance Cymru will be in attendance .

8. Toilets

Toilets are available at the Rugby Club.
